Sigrid Callon
１９６９年生まれ、オランダ・ティルブルグ在住。ティルブルグ芸術大学でテキスタイルデザインを専攻に学び、デザイン業界で長年経験を積んだ後、２００５年以降完全に芸術性に重点を置く視覚芸術家。作品制作においては直感、遊び心、かつ合理性を重
視し、自分を取り巻く日常の物事からインスピレーションを得ている。彼女の作品は、新鮮で、新しく、現代的な印象を与えミニマリズム、実験的、革新的、型破り、ユーモアなど、共通するところが多い。２００２年、佐賀県のクリエイティブレジデンス有田(CRA) で3 ヶ月間滞在。

Born in 1969, lives and works in Tilburg, the Netherlands. After studying textile design at Tilburg University of Art and Design and many years of experience in the design industry, since 2005 she has put full focus on a visual artist. In creating her work, she focuses on intuition, playfulness, and rationality, and draws inspiration from the everyday things that surround her. Her work has much in common with the
fresh, new, and contemporary impressions of minimalism, experimentation, innovation, unconventionality, and humor. In 2022, she has spend three months at the Creative Residence Arita (CRA) in Saga Prefecture.
